CAncer Chomp chomping out brain tumors: one bite, one battle, one cure at a time!

The 5K takes place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, and will start at 8:30am. The course (known as “The Boot”) takes you on a tour around beautiful Lake Alice on the University of Florida campus. There will be water and snacks post-race for our 5k participants. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the Men, Women, and Children categories at approximately 10am.   *Adults (13+): $35; Child (12 & Under): $20

*NOTE: Online registration for this event closes on Monday, October 12th at 11:59pm.  Same-Day race registration will be available starting at 7:30am on the morning of the race for a slightly increased entry fee.  *Adults (13+): $40; Child (12 & Under): $25*

A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Run or walk these virtual races on your own or with friends! Email event coordinator Jennifer St.Clair (JenniferStClair@ufl.edu) for instructions on registering for a Virtual 5k and to arrange delivery of your 5k event shirt. 

Early Packet Pickup (race bib, shirt, etc) will be available in front of the UF Cancer & Genetics Research Complex (2033 Morwy Rd, Gainesville, FL) on Friday, October 16th from 4pm to 6:30pm. Same-Day Packet Pickup will be available at the Cancer & Genetics Research Complex from 7:30am – 8:15am on Saturday, October 17th.

Shirts are guaranteed for online registrants (closes at 11:59pm on October 12th). Same-Day registrants will receive a shirt on a first-come, first-served basis as long as supplies last. Swag bags will be available to the first 200 people who check in for the race.
