Biography

Dr. Chenggang Wang serves as an Assistant Scientist in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida, contributing over a decade of specialized experience in molecular biology, cell biology, and microbiology. His career at the University of Florida began in 2017, where he excelled as a postdoctoral researcher and Biological Scientist III, subsequently earning promotion to Research Scientist in 2019. Dr. Wang’s earlier research delved into complex mechanisms of cell signaling and systemic immunity, producing impactful findings published in high-impact journals such as Nature Communications and eLife. In 2024, motivated by a profound commitment to advancing cancer immunotherapy, he joined Dr. Jianping Huang’s group. Here, he integrates molecular biology techniques with bioinformatics analysis to uncover promising therapeutic targets for immune checkpoint blockade, CAR, and TCR T-cell therapies. Dr. Wang’s research aspires to develop treatment options for cancer by pioneering innovative immunotherapy strategies, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes in this challenging field.
