Biography

Anjali Chauhan is an Assistant scientist in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She is a part of the translational brain tumor immunotherapy laboratory, which is led by the renowned neurosurgeon and scientist Dr Maryam Rahman (MD, MS). Dr. Anjali received her PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. As a doctoral student, she studied the synthesis and characterization of iron oxide nanoparticles for the treatment of cancer via magnetic hyperthermia therapy. She also studied the effects of magnetic nanoparticles on the neuronal survival and cognitive functions in the presence of alternating magnetic field.

Anjali has gained her post-doctoral experience in the field of magnetic hyperthermia mediated immunotherapy at the Institute of Nanoscience and Technology (2021-2022), India. She also worked as a post-doctoral associate under the supervision of Dr Maryam at the university of Florida (2022-2023), where her work was focused on investigating the efficacy and underlying mechanism of a novel hydrogel-chemokine-mRNA (HCM) vaccine for the GBM treatment. As an Assistant scientist, she is working on the mechanistic evaluation of HCM vaccine as well as laser thermotherapy against GBM.
