Biography

After graduating from Princeton University and the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Koch completed neurosurgery residency and endovascular neurosurgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School. Following graduation, he completed an advanced cerebrovascular neurosurgery fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he mastered cranial bypass techniques and further developed skills in the management of complex skull base lesions and brain tumors.

Dr. Koch specializes in the endovascular and open surgical management of vascular lesions and tumors of the brain and spine. He has authored numerous publications on the management of a variety of neurosurgical pathologies and is interested in the role of biomarkers in the prognosis and pathology of neurosurgical diseases. Dr. Koch maintains an active role in medical education and earned numerous resident teaching and clinical research awards during his training.
