Biography

Kris Wynne graduated from the Catholic University of America with a BSN in 1988 and the George Washington University with an MSHS in Clinical Leadership/Clinical Research Administration in 2006.

She started in clinical research almost 25 years ago as a clinical research coordinator with the University of Colorado Pulmonary Hypertension Center.  She remained in that position for over 10 years until she relocated with her family to Gainesville in 2002.  In 2003, Kris transitioned to research administration and human research compliance when she became the Quality Assurance Coordinator for the University of Florida IRBs (biomedical boards at the Gainesville and Jacksonville Health Science Center campuses and a social-behavioral board for the University campus in Gainesville).

Since her time with the UF IRBs, Kris has held research compliance, research ethics and human research protections oversight positions with the Department of Navy Human Research Protection Program and, Department of Army Human Research Protections Office in the Washington, D.C. area and the NF/SG VHS Human Research Protection Program in Gainesville.  Ms. Wynne also served as a VA site visitor for the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Human Research Protection Accreditation Program and was a member of two Human Research Protection Accreditation Councils.

Ms. Wynne is a registered nurse in the state of Florida and has worked in such clinical specialties as pulmonary hypertension/pulmonary vascular disease and adult liver transplantation.
