Meaghan McGovern, MD

Meaghan McGovern NSG Resident

Meaghan McGovern, MD grew up in Congers, New York. She earned her B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point in interdisciplinary sciences on a physics track and minor in cyber security. At West Point, Meaghan represented Army as a member of the women’s swim team. She graduated in 2019 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army.

Dr. McGovern attended the Uniformed Services University for medical school where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. While in medical school Meaghan’s research interests included medical education and leadership.

Meaghan began her neurosurgical training at the University of Florida in 2023 and is scheduled to complete her training in 2030. Her neurosurgical interests include pediatrics and neurocritical care. Outside of medicine, Meaghan continues to enjoy swimming and hopes to compete in open-water races while in Florida.
