Abraham Alvarado-Gonzalez, MD was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico and raised in Laredo, Texas. He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Texas—Pan American. He graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Chemistry and Psychology. Abe then attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and conducted outcomes-based research with the Surgical Outcomes Center for Kids at Monroe Carrel Jr. Children’s Hospital. He received his medical degree in May 2016.
Dr. Alvarado-Gonzalez began his neurosurgical training at the University of Florida in July 2016 and is scheduled to complete his residency in June 2023. He enjoys hiking, kayaking and participating in obstacle races.
