Biography
Sabaina Ahmed grew up in Los Angeles, California and moved to Florida when she was 8 years old. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Florida in 2022.
Sabaina started her research career as an undergraduate volunteer working on antibiotic research in the Biochemistry department at the University of Florida and then transitioned to becoming a full-time clinical research coordinator after graduating, for the PeCAN clinic with the Department of Anesthesiology. She then transitioned to the Clinical and Translational Science Institute as a research administrator for clinical and pharmaceutical research studies being conducted at the University of Florida on critically ill patients.
Sabaina joined the Department of Neurosurgery in February 2026 as a clinical research coordinator for the Spine Division where she works with patients undergoing spinal fusion surgeries.
