Nina McGrew, MSN, RN graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. degree in Sociology and received a M.S. degree in Nursing from Kennesaw State University.
She began her nursing career as a perioperative trauma nurse and clinical staff educator. She then held positions as a Clinical Research Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular, Gastroenterology, and Neurosurgery trials. While working as a Clinical Nurse Educator, she facilitated adoption of a nursing theory to ground nursing practice and research in caring. In that role, she served as Chair of the Nursing Quality Council and participated in numerous quality initiatives in the areas of peer review, policy formation, and evidence based practice.
She serves as a board member of the Florida Department of Health Institutional Review Board and contributed to public health projects in the areas of process flow management. She currently supervises the Department of Neurosurgery Clinical Research Office.
