UF Health Neurology and Neurosurgery Rank #1 in the State of Florida by U.S. News and World Report

U.S. News and World Report’s Best Hospitals rankings were released July 16, 2013. Overall, UF Health was recognized as one of the top hospitals in the state and had the state’s highest ranking in neurology and neurosurgery (37th nationally). Programs at UF Health are staffed by interdisciplinary teams including UF College physicians and nurses, clinical and support staff.

For inclusion in the 2013-14 Best Hospitals rankings, UF Health was among 147 facilities—roughly 3 percent of the 4,806 analyzed for the latest Best Hospitals rankings—to be ranked in even one of the 16 specialties.The rankings take into consideration the reputation of each hospital, its death rate and a set of care-related factors such as nursing and patient services. Medical centers are also assessed for competence providing complex care for patients who are high-risk.
